Any medical expenses incurred as a result of the wrongful death (such as surgeries, hospital stays, etc) will be considered when determining the amount owed for a wrongful death settlement.  This is because without the wrongful act of the other person or entity that caused the death, those medical expenses would not have been necessary.  The receipts, and any other documentation, will need to be saved in order to justify the amount being requested.
